In the wake of a report claiming up to 20 percent of H-1B applicants may be fraudulent, the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services will look more closely at H-1B visa applications.

The agency responsible for granting H-1B visa applications plans to tighten up its procedures for vetting and approving the applications in the wake of a report indicating as many as 20 percent of the applications may be fraudulent or technically flawed.

The U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services, which is responsible for approving and administering H-1B applications, will increase the level of detail in which H-1B visa applications are examined and do what it can to eliminate the types of problems identified in the report, according to department spokesman Bill Wright.

they should have done this job last year. i had job but i didn't get H1-B but have seen many, specially INDIAN got H1-B without job.

i suggest all the nepalese who got H1-B from consultant firm to let them run the payroll and file the tax return on time.

 

Totally Agree with ek@l. I've seen people with yrs of experience not getting H1B approved.While people from India/Nepal and anywhere with 1 month boot-camp experience and  fake resume gets approved.

There is nothing to say on this. No one to blame either. We have learned this long back - "Survival of the fittess". This one holds more value when it's in America. Every one is trying their best to survive, maintain their status and do something for themselves. The system itself is corrupted. The AMerican goverment should have known the issue long time ago, when these Indian consultancy grew like a jungali mushroom. I want to get a job in entry level in my field, and there are so many out there who wants entry level job. But, will employer hire them? You know better than anyone. I have a nice Job and I wish I can continue it. But I have No H1-B. I did my 2 months boot camp and now I am proud that I did it. But if you ask me, was it my plan; certainley Not.

But I had to do it. becoz I want to pay of my debt. I want to have that 8-5 job. But, If anyone was ready to hire for me at entry level with half the pay, I would be more happy. I have no issue with anyone. Live and let live. I did my homework and its time for urs. I see many H1-B out there, with no Jobs, what's the use?. "vancha ni nepali ma- na nilnue na thuknue, ghatti ma adkinay pasoe jastoe"................

One thing I just wish for the coming year........make it fear ...........next year..........get the As@-fire in the consultancies and make it simple and true so that everyone competes equally with fair oppourtunities.........
