I am in a student visa in the united states, and five years have passed by already.

To renew the visa, I am thinking of going to Mexico. Does anyone has experience of going there? Will you please kindly share your experience.

FYI, you don't need to renew you student visa if you are still in school and have a valid I-20

As long as you have maintained valid student status ( do not forget to bring all your academic credentials in case they ask to show and for your own support) you can apply any place.
