HR392 bill currently in Phase "Introduced"
This bill is the most unfair bill introduced and creating buzzes, so organizations like AHA & NIAC are already opposing it as it will give more power to India and china resulting in small nations like Nepal, EU countries being out crowded by these two big nations. India will monopolize this system like H1b and other nations will have to wait 5-7 years to get green card or will never get one if passed. Small countries are already coming together & protesting it, let's do our part too to benefit Nepalese talent in global level.
As @Kind_nepali_soul has mentioned about this bill in detail in his post "Dangerous Bill.....", Please, share with as many people as you can, call congress and express your concern or even email them. There is already a petition going on created by small nations. Please sign it with your concerns in the comment section and let everyone around you know so petition goals can be reached.
Immigration reform is definitely needed to be fair to everyone but equality does not mean justice. This bill tries to be equal but is a massive injustice to rest of the world and will favor only Indians. Indians are pushing this law for their selfishness.

P.S: This will effect everyone planning to file EB-GC in future, currently in process  or even those who are waiting for AOS. It affects also Family based adversely. Now is the time to protest before its too late.

This is a bill which was introduced in the House in January 2017. It has been nearly 2 years now that this has not moved anywhere. Also, it tightens the employment based GC but increases the percentage of visa availability for the family based petition.

Yes, this bill is already merged with another funding bill using same language of HR392 for fiscal year 2019. And fiscal year 2019 started from this October 1st.

Yea....Indians lobbying body have hired lobbyists and few congressman are on their side. They have tried to sneak in this type of bill many time. They are spending fair amount of money on these. Someday they might be able to pass it quietly . They usually try to keep it out negative media coverage. Probably it’s time to expose their lobbying effort , bring it back media attention and have some detail out in media.

The main problem is India brings almost 60k people on h1b, and if country quota is gone , probably 5 Indians will get GC, before any guy from other country get it. US will be more and more mini India in next decade.

AJ joshi, Trump is very pro india. If you google, you will find Trump with Republican Hindu coalition a lot. Indians have spent a lot of money on his campaign and used flattery to get him. So its good to be optimistic but this is a very risky situation. We need to take action as much as we can.

@tito-satya, its the bill itself. As others pointed out, this bill has been added on the DHS funding bill. That is the main danger. This bill by itself will never pass. We all know that but as a part of the funding bill it can pass. Risk is high. We need to act. Share, share, share. By the way, how do we reach out to NRN nepalese society? We need to write an open letter.

HR 392 has been stealthily added in the funding bill HR 6776 that is the most worrying part.

Guys it is now HR 6776 and I believe there should be something similar to this in Senate; senate bill starts with S :

particulary See Section 540 of HR6776 if passed will effect everyone people on the 485 queue or any aspirant.

Not that it matters what I say, but sorry, but I'm with the Indians on this one. I've seen a lot of my talented Indian colleagues go through anxiety, depression and uncertainty because of their wait times, while a hack from a different country with false documents skates through immigration process.

Everyone needs to go back to their country and work for the development of the country and someday in the future make people like Donald Trump beg for economic hardship from Nepal - The naturally, economically and socially richest country in the World.
