here's my story:
I am recent may graduate(may 2007), couldn't even file(Master's quota) H1B this year. I am currently employed by an engineering firm (they know my case and agree to sponsor H1B next year). But I need to go back to college for 5 months ( from May to October 2008) to be in status. Then I can come back to work. Is it possible that I can do distance learnig course OR is it must to go to full time status.??
Any information and/or Suggestion is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Go-better,

You have to be in status. But you can surely do distance learning if the college issuing I-20 allowes you to do so because for Bachelor's, out of minimum 12 credit hours, you have to take at least 6 credit hours lecture attending class and the remaining six you can take online. For Masters, I'm not sure what the deal is, but I'm sure that you have to take some credit hours, out of 9 hours, in class. Check with International Office of any college for more information.

Good Luck to you.
