I just wanted to know if we can get health insurance from Nepal. Does any company/bank in Nepal provide such facility and which is valid even in other countries but Nepal. Some of my friends have cheap health insurance - about 300$ per year from their home country, and they are fine here. they do not need to buy insurance from school or any other companies. That would be really helpful instead of paying 1000$.
Helpful replies will be highly appreciated.

Paying 1000$/yr ? मैले कुरो नबुझेको पनि हुनसक्छ तर राम्रै schoolहरुले पनि accept गर्ने insurance $३००/yr भन्दा कममा fairly good coverageको insurance USमा नै पाईन्छ नि। 

 नेसनल लाइफ एन्ड जनरल insurance भन्ने थियो (छ?) नेपालमा....कम्पनी ले हो कि हो कि त्यसको staafले हो but त्यसले travellerको insurance त गर्छ, but that too is an agent of some insurance company here in US (with 1-800 number)...I knew about it some 4-5 yrs ago and the cost was terrible and anyone who understands "co-pay" would NEVER buy insurance with them.

"Coverage गोली मारो, कागज भए पुग्यो भन्ने हो भने, कम्प्युटरमा आँफै design and print ठोक्ने नि!! But I doubt it works for schools.

May be there are better and cheaper options now, but this was the one I bought years ago...it was around $110 a semester at that time.
