I have been having problem with mpeg (.mpg) video files. I want to edit these files using windows movie maker (wmm) program. This is not working. After googling came to know that wmm is not compatible with mpg files. I changed the mpg to wmm compatible files like .avi and tried again. Same error message again.

The message says: "An interface has too many methods to fire events from...".

My 'wmm' is working for other video files but not these recently downloaded video clips from sony dcr-sr45 camcorder. If you are familiar with this, I need your suggestion.

well first off when u are transferring videos, (with probably a firewire or usb port whatever u have) copy it as .avi files, if not mpg if windows movie maker is compatible with that, mpg should work just fine i wonder why u can't edit videos on wmm.

If you have nero, try using that for video capture, you can capture videos in a lot of different formats, and even edit, and nero can be downloaded free.

and use avi at first, dont use the converter! whack idea to let degeneration happen!~
