Hello,
I want to work in financial industry, probably as an equity research analyst. I did a detalied study on this topic but got mixed answers. Any idea ?
Which one serves better, MS in Finance or an MBA?

Both are equally as good as long as its from a reputed school...And as per the street, its not what you know, its WHO you know. There are millions of peeps who want to break into this industry but not everyone has a chance. Make youself stand out as grades are NOT the only determining factor...Anyone can get a job in an IB doing IT, Operations, Support, etc. Its the hunger, drive and motivation you have that separates the real money-makers in this biz (sales-trading, Mergers, etc.).
BTW, the university is a place of networking, so use and abuse it to your advantage.

if u already working then ur ms is good (and maybe ur firm might sponsor) . i think mba is waay overated nowdays but if ur not working then try for mba in top 20 university else dont go
