I was wondering if anybody knew of a retail outlet that sold A4 paper. Apparently, Office Depot, Walmart and Staples don't. Also, where would I get standard Nepali PP size pics? 

 
You just buy a bigger size paper, like more than 21cm x 29.7 cm and go to Staple to cut yourself at 21cm x 29.7cm which is (A4) . Walmart, Staple, Office Depot, nobody carry A4 size paper. Or you can call Nepalese Embassy to send that A4 size paper to your address.

Oh for your second concern, you do not need to have nepali pp size photo. They accept 2*2 photo. I just got my passport back.

Gabbar, are you sure about 2X2 PP size photo? Do I have to send in my original citizenship card? 

@mech: I got my passport back in about 2 and half months...I hope that you do not have to send "chiya kharcha" and wait at the most for a month and then inquire if you dont get until then.

@keyser soze: I am positive about the photographs size since I sent the same sized photographs. About sending the original citizenship certificate, it is not mandatory but they recommend you to do so. If you do not send the original one, they told me that they have to send the photocopy for authorization and that would lengthen the process and you might have to wait longer to get your passport back. If I were you, I would send the original one.

How many photographs do we need to submit? Guidlines in Nepali states that we're required to submit 2 copies while the English one states 3. 

3.. In my case, I sent 3....so I think 3 is appropriate..........
