Depends on whether you are an undergrad or a grad student.
1. Hypothesis. What do you want to prove or answer?
2. Research Methodology- How are you going to prove your hypothesis?
3. Literature Review/Survey
4. Chapters
5. Conclusion
Now, to me your theme looks really broad. I think you can narrow it down. But if you already have an idea of what you want to write, then I guess its ok. You have to talk to your advisor and s/he might be able to help you refine your research question.
But if I were you, and if I had no other option but to write a thesis on the topic I would do something like this.
Define freedom and civil rights. What they actually mean, then connect women's rights to those. You can find a lot of materials on those. Also, you can argue what has been argued/proved a zillion times alreday: wome's rights movement was an important part/agenda of the civil rights movement. And the success of that movement in part, was the participation of women. You can talk abut the US economy during the 2nd world war (war economy).. women's participation in the work force. The end of the 2nd world war and how women once again were limited to housework and how the civil rights movement became a platform for the women rights activists.
