I am f1 student nearing graduation. I will graduate by may 2012. I have lost my passport with i94, visa stamping. After talking to several people i found out, i can get passport and i94 if i contact nepal embassy and uscis. But i won't have visa stamping. To get visa stamping i will have to go nepal and give interview again...which is very hard and very risky. also, univ i got visa is good university and i am right now studying in ok kind of university, and they have so many reason to deny me visa again. also it is such a long process.
can i get visa stamping from canda or mexico instead of going to nepal? will it increase my chances?
So my main question is, with my new passport and i94 but without visa stamping, can I still go on intership and opt? which i was going to get from dec... coz i am nearing graduation. also after opt when i file for h1b and process for green hard will it hamper me of not having visa stamping in new passport.
i really don't have any1 who is has knowledge into this matter. so i am turning towards you sajha people. my international students office is closed for few days
